Let’s be honest, we all love a good multiplayer game we can sink hours into with our friends. While you’ll find an endless amount of multiplayer games on PC and consoles, finding one on mobiles can be tough.
So, I embarked on a journey to find the best mobile multiplayer games. The quest was tough, filled with microtransactions and low-quality games filled to the brim with ads. However, I was able to find some hidden gems in the wild.
A lot of these games are competitive in nature, so I recommend having a fast internet connection in order to have a great experience. Some of my friends and I use Cox Internet and it has never let us down. I particularly like how they offer Cox Servicio al Cliente en español to help Spanish speakers get support with internet service in their native language.
Moving on without further ado, here are six of the best multiplayer mobile games I found that you need to try today:
- Call of Duty: Mobile
For the longest time, Call of Duty has been the benchmark competitive first-person shooter on PCs, especially consoles.
With Call of Duty: Mobile, Activision brings the tried and true formula to smaller screens. You’ll be able to play some of the best modes in the entire franchise in this game. The game has classic free-for-all all, domination, search and destroy, team deathmatch, and frontline.
You can also play the beloved zombies mode and a battle royale mode. The game doesn’t have any unfair monetization, and the items you can buy are mainly cosmetics.
- Minecraft
Minecraft is one of the best games to play if you’re looking to unleash your creativity in a world that offers near-endless opportunities.
In Minecraft’s main survival mode, you’ll spawn in a procedurally generated world, where you have to do anything you can to survive. You’ll start by collecting simple resources like wood and stones. However, soon you’ll be able to craft advanced items like potions, enchantments, and weapons.
While the game itself is paid, it offers virtually unlimited replay value since the world you generate each time is going to be totally different from the previous one, making it an amazing game to play with friends on the go.
- Old School RuneScape
RuneScape is arguably one of the most iconic MMORPG games of all time. Now, you can experience the same game on mobile devices as well.
You can explore the game world and discover quests, fight monsters, and gather resources. The game has a lot of depth, allowing you to learn new skills and spells. This game is extremely fun to play with friends since there’s a huge amount of content in the game.
The best part about this game is if you’re already someone who plays RuneScape since you’ll be able to use the same account to play. The game servers are also the same, meaning you’ll be able to play with players using other devices as well.
- Brawlhalla
This game is one of the best party games to play with your friends. This game takes a page right out of Super Smash Bros and makes it accessible for players on different devices.
The game features a new take on platform fighters and a huge cast of characters, including crossover characters like Mega Man, The Mandalorian, Darth Vader, SpongeBob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Master Chief, and much more.
The game is free-to-play and is cross-platform, meaning you and your friends can play regardless of your platform. While a lot of content is locked behind a paywall, you can still get a lot of value from the free version, making it a great party game to play with friends.
- MARVEL SNAP
If you’re looking for an engaging card game then MARVEL SNAP is an amazing game to play.
The gameplay loop is satisfying and rewarding. Your deck only has 12 cards without any duplicates. The board you play on has three locations where players fight each other. You’ll queue up the actions you wish to take each round.
Once both players end their turns, the cards are revealed, with each one having their own effect. The main goal of SNAP is to become more powerful than your rival in more than one location. Each match takes around three minutes on average, making this a great game to play in short bursts.
- PUBG Mobile
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is pretty much a household name now, mainly because this was the game that kick-started the battle royale craze in 2018.
The game is also available on mobile devices, so you can get the same experience on the go. While the game features lower-quality graphics than what you’d get on consoles and PC, PUBG Mobile still captures the essence of the game perfectly.
In a single match, you parachute your way down to an island with 100 other players and the only objective is to find weapons and tools to be the last person standing.
You can squad up with up to three more players, making this one of the best high-octane third-person shooters you can play on mobile.
These are my picks for some of the best multiplayer games you can play on your iOS or Android device right now. If you have any game suggestions for me to try out, make sure you leave them in the comments below.
